SHEDECIDES DAY 2018 - WHAT IS THE #SHEDECIDES MOVEMENT

2 March 2018 is SheDecides Day. The SheDecides movement is founded on a belief in "a world where every girl and woman can decide what to do with her body, with her life, and with her future."

South Africa is also a part of their worldwide campaign with the SheDecides Flagship Event, to be held in Pretoria, 1st March 2018 and bringing together over 200 young people and politicians from Eastern and Southern Africa.

To show your support take a picture on a A4/A3 poster completing the sentence "When #SheDecides..." or "When she doesn't decide..." or "What does the world look like where #SheDecides..." (Or even take a 30 second video!)

About SheDecides

SheDecides was launched at the start of 2017 as an urgent reaction to the Global Gag Rule. It has rapidly evolved from two words, to a one-day conference into a global, political movement which is guided by the vision as articulated in the SheDecides Manifesto: A new normal where girls and women decide about their bodies, their lives, their futures. Without question.

This includes having access to modern contraception, to sexual and relationship literacy and safe abortion. SheDecides breaks down traditional silos, builds on the work of others and brings in the energy of many new voices. SheDecides is a political movement with community support.
