It's not everyday that a celebrity hairdresser whose client list includes Kate Moss and Kylie Minogue develops a haircare range at a fraction of the price of professional haircare products.

UK hairstylist, Andrew Barton, has done just that and his haircare range is finally available in South Africa. I was lucky enough to snap up a few essentials from the range that are available exclusively at Clicks stores. The Andrew Barton S.O.S Hair Repair range suited my biggest concern - dry and damaged hair.

Formulated with a bespoke blend of ingredients to suit specific hair types, each product in the Andrew Barton lines contains Moroccan Argan Oil alongside his unique PROtech Shine Complex. Created to reinforce hair with essential proteins, not only does the Andrew Barton collection help to boost vitality and strength, but it also gives a healthy shine.

MY VERDICT:

I found the shampoo to be lightweight which is great for me as I already have dry hair and don't want to use a product that will dry my hair out. The shampoo does however have sulphates and therefore won't be suitable for my fellow curly girls following the curly girl method. I don't follow the CGM so it isn't a deterrent for me. I found the conditioner to be very moisturising, which is probably a result of the rich Shea Butter and Moroccan Argan oil. The miracle hair oil is also such a gem from this range - I've seen a massive difference in how shiny my curls are immediately after using this product. I haven't had a chance to use or try out the heat protect spray as yet as I haven't used heat on my hair. Overall, the range delivered very noticeably on one major aspect for me - keeping my hair looking and feeling moisturised and healthy. Shiny curls are the best kind of curls!
