Just a short 15 minute drive from me, it proved to be the perfect staycation and while it's literally just around the corner, it felt more like a getaway tucked away in nature. I stayed in a first floor villa suite. It's a large 50sqm room and has the biggest tv I've ever seen in a hotel room - a whole 65 inches. The room design literally makes me feel like I'm in The Great Gatsby with its stunning black panelled walls along with black and white paintings and gold accents.
The amenities in the room include: bathroom with double vanities, large freestanding bath and shower, smart TV with Netflix and full bouquet of DSTV, grand king bed, open lounge area with bar and a balcony with a river view.
The Spa
During my stay I had the pleasure of experiencing the Swedish massage at Camelot Spa at Seven Villa Hotel. The spa is super conveniently located right next to the reception. From the moment I walked into the spa, I was greeted with a warm smile and a calming atmosphere. The staff were all professional and welcoming, and the spa itself was beautifully designed.
The massage itself was super relaxing and exactly what I needed - I even asked the therapist to use hard pressure even through I’m usually a medium kind of girl. My therapist was skilled and attentive, and she really took the time to understand my needs and preferences. The Swedish massage was the perfect balance of pressure and relaxation, and I felt all my stress and tension melt away as she worked on my muscles. She made use of essential oils that had a calming and rejuvenating effect, and left my skin feeling soft and moisturized.
Overall, I would recommend Camelot Spa at Seven Villa Hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and rejuvenating spa experience. The combination of skilled therapists and luxurious facilities make for a lovely experience that will leave you feeling pampered and refreshed.
Breakfast at SEVEN
I had breakfast at the hotel during both days of my stay. The breakfast setup is different depending on the day - on weekends, there is a buffet spread, while during the week you can order off a menu. Regardless, the variety of options available is impressive. From freshly made smoothies to a cheese board, there's something for everyone. I was particularly impressed with the range of hot and cold breakfast options available.
I ordered the Eggs Royale, which is an eggs benedict with salmon. The dish was beautifully presented, and the taste did not disappoint. The eggs were perfectly poached, and the hollandaise sauce was rich and flavorful. The salmon was fresh and added a delicious salty kick to the dish.
At R250 per person, the breakfast is open to day visitors and is definitely worth the cost.
