During my stay I had the pleasure of immersing myself in a variety of activities, including a Gin School Master Class, Wine & Chocolate Pairing, a delightful Bistro "Date Night" Dinner, and a pampering session at the renowned Mowana Spa.
Tasting Room at Indaba Hotel - Wine & Chocolate Pairing
Did you know that Joburg has this amazing wine tasting venue right here in Fourways? To kickstart my experience, I indulged in a Wine & Chocolate Pairing, accompanied by a delectable Cheese & Charcuterie Platter for two. The pairing of fine wines with exquisite chocolates was a delightful treat for the senses. They feature different wine farms at different times of the year and during my visit the featured farms was Spier, one of my all time favourites.
The Gin Experience at Indaba Gin School
The afternoon was dedicated to exploring the world of gin at Indaba Hotel's Gin Sensorium. The 2-hour Gin Master Class was an interactive and educational session where I had the opportunity to create my own unique bottle of botanical gin. From the moment I entered the Gin Sensorium, I was greeted with a Gin Perfect Serve and tantalizing gin-inspired canapés. Under the guidance of the experts, I learned about the art of gin-making and crafted a personalized gin blend to take home as a memento.
Bistro "Date Night" Dinner
As evening approached, I indulged in a romantic 2-course Date Night Dinner at Bistro 407. The ambience was cozy and intimate, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience. The carefully curated menu, complemented by two glasses of House Wine, showcased the culinary excellence of Indaba Hotel. The flavors and presentation of each dish surpassed my expectations, leaving me thoroughly satisfied.
Luxurious Accommodation
Following the delightful dinner, I retired to the Grand Marnier suite, room 102, where comfort and elegance awaited. The suite exuded sophistication, featuring luxurious amenities and tasteful decor. The bath tub, accompanied by MatsiMela products, provided a tranquil space for relaxation. With a peaceful night's sleep, I woke up refreshed and ready to embrace the next day's activities.
Mowana Spa Pampering Journey
Stepping into the Mowana Spa at Indaba Hotel was like entering a sanctuary of serenity and bliss. I was greeted by the friendly and professional spa staff who guided me through the extensive menu of treatments and therapies. With a range of options to choose from, I was able to tailor my pampering journey to suit my preferences and needs. To complete the pampering journey, Mowana Spa offered a delectable 2-course Spa Lunch. The carefully curated menu featured nutritious and delicious dishes that not only satisfied my taste buds but also nourished my body. The combination of wholesome ingredients and exquisite flavors provided the perfect balance of indulgence and wellness.
As I reluctantly prepared to check-out and bid farewell to Mowana Spa, I couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude for the rejuvenation and relaxation I had experienced. The Mowana Spa at Indaba Hotel had truly exceeded my expectations, providing an oasis of tranquility where I could escape, unwind, and emerge feeling revitalized.
